The "Staufer Loop" Trail
The photo was taken during the "The Staufer Loop" hike.
The Staufer Loop Lion Trail between Göppingen and Wäschenbeuren impressively connects the historic Staufer sites of the Hohenstaufen ruins and Wäschenbeuren Castle. Along the way, you'll be repeatedly surprised by breathtaking views, mystical river and forest valleys, and traces of the Staufer era.
It is one of the most beautiful, interesting and varied hikes near my hometown.
