The worldwide Netflix release of A Gorilla Story showed the dramatic events that transpired in the Pablo group, but… how are the gorillas doing now?
A Gorilla Story pulled fans, new and old, into the Pablo family, telling the epic, very real tale of gorilla life. Since the documentary concluded filming two years ago, many large, extraordinary familial changes have occurred, shifting the landscape of the Pablo group even more.

Es ist nicht so, dass ich mir einen Wecker stelle, um den DRAFT live zu sehen. Aber trotzdem schaue ich mir jeweils am Tag danach das Spektakel auf dem Game-Pass an.
Immerhin kann man dort die NFL-Stars von Morgen sehen.
Es lohnt sich, sich die meisten Namen schon einmal zu merken!
Der NFL Draft ist das jährliche Hauptevent der Offseason in der National Football League, bei dem die 32 Profiteams die besten Nachwuchstalente von den US-Colleges auswählen. Er dient dazu, den Teams die Chance zu geben, ihre Kader mit jungen Spielern zu verstärken und gleichzeitig durch eine spezifische Auswahlreihenfolge die sportliche Ausgeglichenheit der Liga zu wahren.
Kernaspekte des Draft-Systems
- Der Ablauf: Der Draft erstreckt sich über drei Tage und umfasst insgesamt sieben Runden.
- Die Auswahlreihenfolge: Um schwächeren Teams zu helfen, dürfen diese zuerst wählen. Die Reihenfolge basiert auf dem Erfolg der Vorsaison: Das schlechteste Team erhält den ersten Pick ("Number One Pick"), während der Super-Bowl-Sieger als letztes an der Reihe ist.
- Trades: Teams können ihre Draft-Rechte ("Picks") untereinander tauschen. Oft geben Teams mehrere spätere Picks auf, um in der ersten Runde weiter vorne ein absolutes Top-Talent auswählen zu können.
- Zeitlimit: In der ersten Runde haben Teams zehn Minuten Zeit, um ihre Entscheidung zu treffen. In den späteren Runden verkürzt sich diese Bedenkzeit.
- Mr. Irrelevant: So wird traditionell der allerletzte Spieler genannt, der in der siebten Runde ausgewählt wird.
Aktueller NFL Draft 2026
Der aktuelle Draft findet vom 23. bis 25. April 2026 in Pittsburgh statt. Den begehrten ersten Pick hielten in diesem Jahr die Las Vegas Raiders.

Magnolia blossom in spring 2026 and much more!

Photographed during a visit to the Wilhelma Zoo during the magnolia blossom season.
For me, the magnolias are the sign of coming spring. And every year I look forward to it.
This time I tried to manage with just my new Rollei 85mm F1.8. It wasn't easy and takes practice. But the bokeh and the handling were perfect! I already love my new lens. And of course, the magnolias!
As is usually the case at the Wilhelma, other objects also came into view this time.
