This year, I once again visited the International Bluegrass Festival in Bühl. Probably the most important festival of its kind in Germany and Europe.
The lineup of bands reflects this. The Canadian band "The Slocan Ramblers" flew to Germany especially for this evening and back to Canada the next.
And the presence of Kristy Cox also underscores the importance of this event. Her name appears several times in the current singles charts.
The festival kicked off on Friday evening under the motto "Bluegrass Under Lifts" at the Josef Oechsle company. Bluegrass Cash & Kikki Géron (D/NL) and the American band Hayseed Dixie performed there. The latter thrilled the audience with their energetic performance.
The festival continued on Saturday evening at the Bürgerhaus Neuer Markt. Taff Rapids (UK), Blue Weed (I), The Slocan Ramblers (CAN), and Kristy Cox & Grasstime (AUS/USA) performed there, offering a diverse musical spectrum from traditional bluegrass to Americana.
Under the artistic direction of Patrick Fuchs, the festival presented a carefully curated lineup of international acts. The combination of different venues and the selection of bands contributed to a special festival atmosphere.
Overall, the festival was well received by visitors and artists alike, confirming its reputation as one of the most important bluegrass events in Europe.

Auch dieses Jahr besuchte ich das internationale Bluegrass Festival in Bühl. Das wohl bedeutenste Festival dieser Art in Deutschland und Europa.
Das zeigt auch diesmal die Liste der Bands. Die kanadische Band "The Slocan Ramblers" flog eigens für diesen einen Abend nach Deutschland und am nächsten wieder zurück nach Kanada.
Und auch die Anwesenheit von Kristy Cox unterstreicht die Wichtigkeit dieses Events. Ihr Name erscheint mehrfach in den akutellen Single Charts.
Der Festivalauftakt am Freitagabend fand unter dem Motto „Bluegrass unter Hebebühnen“ bei der Firma Josef Oechsle statt. Dort traten Bluegrass Cash & Kikki Géron (D/NL) sowie die US-amerikanische Band Hayseed Dixie auf. Letztere sorgte mit ihrer energiegeladenen Performance für Begeisterung beim Publikum.
Am Samstagabend wurde das Festival im Bürgerhaus Neuer Markt fortgesetzt. Dort spielten Taff Rapids (UK), Blue Weed (I), The Slocan Ramblers (CAN) und Kristy Cox & Grasstime (AUS/USA) und boten ein vielfältiges musikalisches Spektrum von traditionellem Bluegrass bis hin zu Americana.
Unter der künstlerischen Leitung von Patrick Fuchs präsentierte das Festival ein sorgfältig kuratiertes Line-up internationaler Acts. Die Kombination aus verschiedenen Veranstaltungsorten und die Auswahl der Bands trugen zu einer besonderen Festivalatmosphäre bei.
Insgesamt wurde das Festival von Besuchern und Künstlern gleichermaßen positiv aufgenommen und bestätigte seinen Ruf als eines der bedeutendsten Bluegrass-Events in Europa.
