Fotografie

Homosassa Springs Wildlife Park is a must-visit if you want to learn more about Florida wildlife.
You can observe manatees up close and study countless species of birds.
Unfortunately, over the years it has degenerated more and more into an amusement zoo. But the visit there is still interesting.
The presented folder contains photos from my first visit in 2016 and from the last visit in 2023. The first 31 photos are the current ones.

On the day of the beginning of spring I really wanted to photograph the first flowers. It was a sunny day and so I took the bus to the University of Hohenheim and walked through the Exotic Garden and the beautiful park.
Some of the magnolias were not yet open. But some did and it was a pleasure to capture them. Other flowers and of course the castle were also nice photo opportunities.
It was a beautiful day and made me look forward to warmer days!

Leaving Apalachicola westbound, you come to Cape San Blas. There is a small but worth seeing section of the beach called Stumphole. Definitely worth seeing! Albeit easy to miss. You have to park on the street.
Then continue on the St. Joseph Peninsula to the T.H. Stone Memorial Saint Joseph Peninsula State Park. Kilometers of sandy beaches and great nature make you forget time.
On the way back I made a quick stop at Salinas Park in the bay San Blas. The difference between the public beach and the protected state park beaches is easy to see.

Apalachicola is a sleepy little town with southern charm.
I like the character of the city. But unfortunately tourism is constantly increasing and so I am glad to have known the city in earlier days.
Alcohol consumption in public has increased. And that has never been a good thing in America or elsewhere.
Nevertheless, I love the small town and would continue to visit it.
